Technology should serve people. I believe that sincerely while at the same time I'm just as sincerely concerned about where it currently does not.
After twenty years in IT in different roles in presales and business development with BeNeLux responsability, I'm deliberately taking the time to build again. Not out of necessity, but because that space itself is worth having.
Twenty years in IT taught me one thing above all: technology only matters if it actually serves the people using it.
I spent that time in presales and business development across BeNeLux. Twenty years that started at Fujitsu-Siemens Computers, continued through Fujitsu Technology Solutions, and closed at Fsas Technologies in May 2026. Same employer on paper, but not static: ownership, portfolio, and ways of working shifted more than once along the way. That work put me close to the gap between what technology promises and what it actually delivers for the people meant to benefit from it. I believe in what this technology can do. I'm also honest about where it currently falls short of that promise, and I don't think those two things contradict each other.
I'm a father to twin daughters, five years old. That's not a footnote — it's a large part of why I think in decades rather than quarters, and why building something worth their trust matters more to me than building something fast.
Right now, I'm not in a hurry to find the next role. I'm using this space deliberately to build, to think, and to figure out what's next. On my own terms.
A few things I'm building and thinking through right now. Some concrete, some still taking shape.
I'm actively building on a few coding and AI projects — BONAVENTURE, AIIOS, and FamilyTasks. They're not public yet, but they're where a lot of my current thinking gets tested in practice.
I've also been exploring a question that sits close to the tension I described above: what open-weight versus closed AI models means for SMEs in BeNeLux. This isn't a fixed direction or a service I'm offering — it's one of several paths I'm genuinely still weighing, alongside things like BD/GTM leadership, advisory work, and teaching. I'm keeping it open rather than committing early.
I write, occasionally, about the same tension that runs through the rest of this: technology, its promise, and its limits.
